Psychoanalysis • Depth Psychology • Spiritual Reflection
For much of my life I have been drawn to a simple but enduring question:
How do human beings become who they are becoming?
As a psychoanalyst, pastoral counselor, teacher, and lifelong student of the human psyche, I have spent many years accompanying individuals through periods of suffering, transition, loss, discovery, and change.
Over time I have come to see that human life unfolds within a web of relationships. We are shaped by our relationships with our own bodies, with those who have loved and wounded us, with family and community, with the natural world, and with the deeper dimensions of psyche, imagination, and spirit.
When these relationships become constricted, life may feel diminished, fragmented, or disconnected. When they are approached with greater awareness, honesty, and care, new possibilities for healing, meaning, vitality, and love may emerge.
My work is grounded in psychoanalysis while drawing upon many traditions that have informed my understanding of human experience. Throughout this website you will find reflections on the analytic process, the perspectives that shape my work, and the questions that continue to guide my life and practice.
I invite you to explore the pages that follow and, if you wish, to contact me for an initial conversation.
